HOW DOES Cryoskin work?
The CryoSlimming or "fat freezing" session uses thermal shock to initiate apoptosis (fat cell death). These dead fat cells are then filtered out of your body through your lymphatic system. During the slimming session you will experience a localized warming sensation, followed by a subzero massage. The immediate drop in temperature initiates apoptosis once fat cells have cooled to seventeen degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature at which they can no longer sustain themselves. Once this happens the cells will convert to cellular debris and be filtered out by the lymphatic system over the next 15 days.
CryoToning sessions reduce cellulite and tightens the skin using subzero temperatures to smooth, shape and tighten areas lacking elasticity by increasing micro-circulation thus increasing collagen and elastin production. Toning sessions do not use thermal shock, only cold is used and therefore does not remove any fat cells.
How Often Can I use Cryoslimming for weight loss?
CryoSlimming for weight loss can be done once every 14 days. There is a physiological reason for this: when apoptosis occurs and some fat cells die, waste is formed. This waste will be eliminated by natural routes (blood, lymphatic system, and then urine). Metabolism must therefore be allowed to evacuate this waste without overloading the lymphatic system. Also, it takes 15 days for 80% of the fat cells from the session to pass out of the client's system. CryoToning treatments can be performed once every week.
CAN I WORKOUT BEFORE/AFTER Cryoskinning?
We don't recommend working out within 2 hours before a CryoSlimming session as this can make it difficult to cool the client down. Working out directly afterwards is fine.
HOW LONG IS EACH TREATMENT?
CryoSlimming sessions are generally around 34 mins. CryoToning sessions are 30 mins. CryoToning Facial sessions are 20 mins. Extended CryoSlimming sessions are around 45 min.
CAN 2 TREATMENTS BE DONE TOGETHER?
Two CryoSlimming treatments cannot be done in the same sitting. Doing so can overwork and risk clogging up the liver.
WHY CANT I EAT SUGAR OR CARBS 2 HOURS BEFORE OR AFTER CRYOSLIMMING TREATMENT?
The reason for this is that sugar is a strong power source for fat cells. Carbs, such as pasta, rice, bread, cereals, fruit and alcohol quickly convert to sugar once consumed. The subzero temperature during the CryoSlimming treatment weakens the fat cells enough so that your body can eliminate them, but if you eat sugar, that will give the fat cells back immediate energy so the apoptosis effect will be less efficient or could even be completely cancelled out.
If possible, it would be best to avoid all kind of sugar for 4/5 hours before and after the CryoSlimming session but 2 hours is the minimum recommended time to get results.
WHO SHOULDN'T DO IT?
Anyone with severe Raynaud's syndrome, Severe allergy to cold, and Progressive Diseases (MS, ALS, Parkinson's, neuropathy), Clients with irremovable body piercings in the treatment area, and Clients with implants in the treatment area are contraindicated for all Cryoskin sessions. Pregnancy/Breastfeeding is contraindicated for all sessions except the Facial Toning (Absolutely NO body sessions). For CryoSlimming sessions specifically: Active Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Lymphatic Disorders, Severe Kidney and Liver Disease, Uncontrolled Diabetes and Diabetes-related complications.
CAN I DO THIS IF I'M PREGNANT?
CryoSlimming is forbidden on any body areas. The safest is to abstain from treatments altogether, but CryoToning Facial sessions are the only option that can be left up to the discretion of the retailer for clients that are pregnant or breastfeeding.
ARE THERE ANY RISKS?
The risks concern only people with contraindications mentioned above.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
There are few. Sometimes localized redness that disappears after a few hours. Sometimes some delayed onset muscle soreness that rarely exceeds 2 to 3 hours. There may also be some itching without consequences and often due to the reactions of certain cosmetic products used by clients. It is best not to use anything (i.e. strong lotions) before coming to do the treatment because some products can crystallize to the cold and cause discomfort. It is also normal after CryoSlimming sessions for clients to experience increased urination and/or change in urine color or smell.
WHO IS BEST SUITED FOR CRYOSKIN TREATMENTS?
The best body profile are clients that are not "fat" or overweight. The treatment is not for clients requiring weight loss but rather for the vast majority of those who have unsightly cellulite or fatty areas (often due to poor diet, poor lifestyle or a static workplace, for example). Best results are in clients no more than 30lbs overweight.
HOW DOES IT FEEL?
The feeling is rather pleasant thanks to the start of the treatment which is generally done with a short period of skin warming and a gradual but rapid decrease of the temperature. At the end of the treatment, the thermal shock appears very quickly, which gives a feeling of warmth and lightness at the same time.
HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?
For CryoSlimming, the first results are generally visible from the first session and often very encouraging. However, it should be noted that the best results appear from 15 days to 3 weeks after the start of treatment and extend for several months after the end of treatment. For the CryoToning Facial, results are visible right away. For the CryoToning body treatments, results are generally visible subtly from the first session and are at their best about 3-5 days after.
HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
Depending on the individual and depending also on their lifestyle and diet, the results last several months or several years. It is advisable to come back for 2 or 3 maintenance sessions 6 months after the end of treatment to maintain results.
WHAT CAN I DO TO ENHANCE THE TREATMENT?
Start by implementing a healthy lifestyle and a good diet first. But also by the addition of powerful drainage treatments such as, lots of water, walking/exercise and compression.
CAN I DO THE FACIALS IF I HAVE BOTOX OR FILLERS?
You should wait 3 months after having fillers and 1 month after having Botox.
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO DO CRYOSKIN AFTER HAVING LIPOSUCTION DONE?
Minimum of 6 months following traditional liposuction and 1 month following laser lipo.
HOW LONG DO I NEED TO WAIT BETWEEN COOLSCULPTING AND CRYOSKIN?
A minimum of 1 month.
WHERE CAN I DO SLIMMING TREATMENTS?
CryoSlimming treatments can be done anywhere in which there is excess fat. It may not be done on the breasts or men's chest. It is generally not effective on the butt itself, which generally would benefit from CryoToning instead.
WHERE CAN I DO TONING TREATMENTS?
CryoToning treatments can be performed virtually anywhere (within reason), including the chest and breast area.
WHY SHOULD PEOPLE WITH UNCONTROLLED DIABETES BE CAREFUL ABOUT CRYOSKIN TREATMENTS?
The chronic hyperglycemia of diabetics progressively damages the small blood vessels of the kidneys, so it is better not to overload the kidneys with close sessions, however we can treat them leaving 3 weeks in between each session instead of 15 days.
WHY CANT I HAVE CRYOSLIMMING DONE WHILE BREASTFEEDING?
Fat cells are one of the main components of breast milk, thus during this time natural reserves of fat cells should be used for breast feeding. It is best to wait until breastfeeding is finished as not to deplete important nutrients in the breast milk.
WHAT ABOUT WAXING OR LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
It’s best to wait 1 week after these treatments before getting any Cryoskin treatment.
